Welcome to Mardyke World, the site dedicated to the locomotives, rolling stock and units built by the Essex based Mardyke Miniature Railways (www.mardyke.co.uk). The first locos were built as early as 1960 and are still being built today at the works in Rainham. Most were built in 7 1/4"gauge but a few were built in 10 1/4"gauge too. As many of the loco's are getting on in years now it is time to catch up on the fleet and get the low down on where they have been, what they have done and where they are now.
