Hymek D7031.

D7031 'Jan De Smedt' (petrol hydrostatic) was built c1997 and was sold new to the Grand Chigwell Railway in Essex in the same year and re-named 'Metopolitain Police'. In 2006 went into the hands of the Miniature Traction group (www.mtg.fotopic.net) and was stored at the Hop Farm, Paddock Wood, kent to operate at a proposed railway there. In 2007 it moved to Mardyke Miniature Railways for a full overhaul and convertion to diesel hydraulic. The loco is still at Mardyke's and on completion of overhaul in March 2008 it will not go back to the Hop Farm as the line down there never took off. A new home is to be advised.
